The following organizations generously contributed to the Children’s Emotional HealthLink Training Program. Without their support, this web site and pilot project could not exist.
The John W. Alden Trust
The Alden Trust provides grant support to organizations providing care to or administering the needs of children who are blind, retarded, disabled, or who are either mentally or physically ill, or to organizations engaged in research directed toward the prevention of diseases and disabilities particularly affecting children.
The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center
The Schwartz Center seeks to strengthen the relationship between patients and caregivers through education, training and support, and public education. The Center supports initiatives which promise both immediate and long-term improvements to the patient-caregiver relationship. It also favors initiatives which, assuming they are successful, can be used as models by other health care organizations.
The Locke Educational Fund
The Allen W. Locke, MD Award is given annually to a Newton-Wellesley Hospital physician who exemplifies compassionate and personal care. Dr. Howard S. King was the recipient of The Locke Award on May 7, 2004. The Locke family also provided a generous grant to help Children’s Emotional HealthLink achieve its educational goals.
Aetna Foundation, Inc.
The Aetna Foundation supports programs and organizations that can have a real impact on solving social and healthcare problems and by providing support that encourages other donors to contribute to the programs. It is funded through Aetna U.S. Healthcare, a leading health and related benefits organization, with a total health enrollment of nearly 16 million Americans.
Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health
The Department of Mental Health works to improve the quality of life for adults with serious and persistent mental illness, and for children with serious mental illness or severe emotional disturbance. Funds from Mass DMH were made possible through the support of Elizabeth Childs, MD, Commissioner and Joan Mikula, Assistant Commissioner, Child and Adolescent Services.
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation
The Gold Foundation is a public foundation fostering humanism in medicine under the leadership of Dr. Arnold P. Gold, Chairman, and Sandra O. Gold, President and Chief Executive Officer.
We are also grateful for the very generous support of The Sidney A. Swensrud Foundation and its trustees, Nancy and Robert Anthony.
